Darrell was born and raised in Regina. He grew up in the former St. John’s United Church, now known as the Rainbow Youth Centre. Darrell worked for Ipsco (now Evraz) for 23 years before discerning a call to ministry. He attended the United Theological College in Montreal and graduated in 2006. Saskatchewan Conference recognized Darrell in 2007 as a Designated Lay Minister (DLM). Darrell has been active in all levels of the church including being the President of Saskatchewan Conference. Darrell is currently service on the Office of Vocation Board for the United Church.
If you come during office hours you will meet Grace, Darrell’s faithful companion who acts as church hostess, greeter, pastoral assistant and security. She is a most welcome presence in the church and people are often coming to Darrell’s office door to see her. (Not Darrell!)
Darrell is also active in the community by being on the Regina Transition House Board, part of the Pack Project (dog rescue), and chairs the Coronation Park Community Association.
